The South Sound Chapter meets on the first Monday of each month, from 11:30-1, with more networking for those that want to show up a little early, at 11 am.

The Department of Health continues to refine rules for implementing the new counselor certification program. In the following links, you will find a great deal of detail that delineates qualification, scope and limits of practice, supervision and consultation, and continuing education for all new categories under the certification program. This program replaces the old registered counselor category. If you are a hypnotist, you will want to look at this as well as hypnotists are mentioned in the rules. There will be a test to pass covering screening and assessment before certification. These new rules also provide some detail about the test. Of additional interest, the rules cover some of the requirements for getting listed as a recognized trainer for continuing education courses.
